Why is the MOC higher (90m) on a non-precision approach without a FAF than on a non-precision approach with a FAF (75m)?Casper Dalsø - Danmark
Answer or Commentary:
I found this statement in Pans-Ops“Note.— A no-FAF instrument approach procedure does not easily support a stable final approach descent profile and therefore may contribute to unstabilized flight profiles. Therefore, the development of approach procedures in this chapter are not encouraged, and shall only be considered when a specific need to accommodate non-RNAV equipped aircraft exists.”
