VOR/DME criteria in Pans-Ops
06.10.2010
Submission:
For the VOR/DME criteria. Using the calculation parameters in Pans-Ops (Part III-Section 1, Chapter 4, paragraph 4.6) I sort of managed to get the results to match the Tables. By "sort of" I mean that I have to swap D2 with D1 to get the correct values for ATT to match the tables in Pans-ops. For example:
D1 = 30
D2 = 60
XTT = 5.4 NM (matches table)
1/2AW = 10.1 NM (matches table)
ATT = 2.6 NM (does not match table),
When I swap the D1 & D2 values in the calculation and re-calculate the ATT value I get 4.8 NM which does match the original value in the table entries that correspond to the original D1 & D2 values.
So my question is, which is correct the text or the tables
