I have recently completed such a procedure involving a climb on a radial to a DME distance, turn to intercept a second radial and then continue climb to a second DME distance. There was also an increased climb gradient required.
So, it is possible, but it can be a long process with a lot of calculations. The segment "between the radials" was assessed as a DR segment with no secondary areas, and a nominal intercept angle of 30° with the second radial.
