Regarding this question, I agree with Mr. P. Bushell. However, I would like the following points to be noted:
1- The sectors in question should not to be too small, the DME arc chosen should be between 10 and 15Nm (quote from 8168).
2-For several reasons I don't think this is a critical issue (including the fact that 5Nm buffers are provided in this DME environment), as long as the appropriate MOC's for any procedure segment involved are observed.
3-An easy way out of this is to ask the operators. They may even find an operational advantage in the proposal, as stated in the question.
