Ian with regards to your question about the CRM source code, I believe that will not be the case. As far as I understand, one of the reasons for awarding a contract to an external company to build the new CRM was to eliminate the number of different versions on the market. The idea is one supplier, one software -> Same results. Having said that, it is the fact that some organization will develop their own solutions anyway, and to support that scenario, the changes between the "old" CRM and the new one will be available. The format of this is yet to be defined but it will not be as source code.

This raises a few points.

 Who picks the supplier and who checks the results?

 I personally think that if the source code of the original CRM was available to all then it would guarantee that the results were the same. I also think that the more people that see the calculations the more chance that any errors in the original work are noticed.

If the original source code is not to be made available at least the calculations or algorithms used should be documented.)
