PANS OPS page III-2-1-3 regarding minimum segment lengths does give you a choice. Para 1.2.4.2 (b) allows you to use 15 deg up to 1000ft, 20deg between 1000 & 3000ft, and 25 deg above that. It seems to only be applicable to RNAV procedures - or am I being too liberal in my interpretation? The reference in sub-paragraph (a) is wrong - it should state Part I, Section 3, Chapter 3 I believe.
