Submission:
Yes, Missed app. gradient is 2.5%.
- If the case is that higher missed app. gradient is required, it must be stated on app. plate (chart).
- If the case is that MAPP gradient is higher than 2.5%, we must calculate our maximum Landing Gross Weight as a function of requested gradient ( SINGLE ENGINE).
- Very helpful is that above gradients/weights are shown in QRH( Quick Reference Handbook) or special app. chart page concerning the airport in question. So you can calculate your MLW for 2.5% , 3.0% ; 4.0% etc... all SINGLE ENGINE.
Another possibility:
- One can fly "Standard Engine Out Company Procedure"(EOSID) or if terrain dictates a "Special Engine out Procedure" (Spec EOSID). All requests 2.4% gradient.
Last but not least, all above must be calculated by your company Nav or Performance Department.
