3D software-5

Answer or Commentary:

It is correct that an infinite number of lines or slopes go through any point on the secondary surface and as Obrad Puskarica said the relevant line is the blue line which is perpendicular to the nominal track. However the slope of a 3D surface is the shortest distance between the two defining edges i.e. the inner and outer secondary lines. This means that the red line must represent the slope of the 3d surface. This I think is the danger in a computerized three-dimensional construction.
